- Wasps are different from bees in which they can pull their stings back into their bodies for repeated use. They have two pairs of wings and their bodies have yellow and black dapples. The parts between thorax and abdomen are narrow and small.
- Their stages of growth include eggs, larva, chrysalides and imago. Adult wasps are classified into male wasps, female wasps and workers.
- The prey of wasps are mainly small insects especially pests. Wasps also eat nectar, serum, decayed or overripe fruits and sugar-containing liquids.
